Laknath Peiris

Attorney-at-Law, FCA, CIMA (UK) Passed Finalist

Partner — Business and Tax Advisory

Mr. Laknath Peiris is an Attorney-at-Law and a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (FCA). He is also a Passed Finalist of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA–UK).

He has extensive professional experience in finance, investments, corporate management and taxation, having held several senior positions in the corporate sector in the past, including Vice President – Finance of Asia Capital PLC, Director – Finance of Asia Securities Ltd, Director of Asia Siyaka Commodities PLC and Director of Capital Asia Markets Ltd.

He has also served as a Board Member of the Sri Lanka Accounting and Auditing Standards Monitoring Board (SLAASMB), Council Member of CA Sri Lanka and Chairman of the Tax Committee of the Bar Association of Sri Lanka (BASL).

He currently practises independently as Tax Counsel, representing clients before the Tax Appeals Commission (TAC), the Court of Appeal, and the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka.

His combined expertise in accounting, finance and law enables him to provide specialized advice and representation in complex taxation and financial matters.

Uditha Nissanka

ACA, B.Sc. (B.Admin) Sp. (USJP-SL), MAAT, ACIT

Partner — Tax and Accounting Advisory

Mr. Uditha Nissanka is a Chartered Accountant and professional tax consultant with over a decade of experience in taxation, audit and assurance, financial reporting, and business advisory services. He is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka), the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Sri Lanka (CITSL), and the Association of Accounting Technicians of Sri Lanka (AAT Sri Lanka). He also holds a Bachelor of Science (Special) Degree in Business Administration from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura.

Prior to joining PLC Peiris Associates as a Partner, Mr. Nissanka served in senior advisory roles, providing taxation and regulatory guidance to a diverse portfolio of corporate and individual clients. His professional experience combines technical consulting expertise with practical commercial knowledge gained through responsible accounting and finance positions in leading private sector organisations.
